
Community Heritage Ontario held its eighth annual conference and tenth annual general meeting in Peterborough on May 25th - 27th, 2002. Hosted by the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Commitee (PACAC), conference attendees met in historic venues such as the Market Hall, St. John's Anglican Church and the Peterborough Armouries.
Based on the theme, The Place of Heritage in 'Smart Growth', the 3 day conference attracted about a hundred participants representing LACAC's and other interests throughout the province.
Participants were welcomed by Her Worship Sylvia Sutherland, the Mayor of Peterborough who, as chair of the PACAC, also attended most of the conference.
