2010 ONTARIO HERITAGE CONFERENCE

The theme 'Rural Routes Rural Roots: Two Centuries of Rural Architecture'
will be explored by renowned keynote speakers, site visits and round-table discussions led by experts in their fields.
The Conference will explore three main themes:
- places of worship: renovation, restoration and reuse
- barns and other rural buildings
- Kent County architecture: historic and modern
Emphasis will be on interactive workshops with a number of excursion lectures being
delivered on the way to heritage sites, giving delegates the opportunity to experience first
hand the rich history of this amalgamated municipality of 22 former municipalities.
Registration will be on-line with eply, a professional registration organisation
which accepts payment by cheques or credit card and is accessible 24/7.
A telephone numberor mail in option will be provided for registration by those less comfortable with a computer.
The site will also show availability of accommodation in our historic B&Bs, boutique hotel and university dormitory.
